eternal remnants

 Losing someone is truly hard,
A lonely path, a heavy guard.
Like finding toys that once brought cheer,
Old memories crowd, yet they disappear.

Nostalgia hits you like a storm,
A bittersweet ache, a heart that warms.
In laughter’s echo, I hear their name,
But silence follows like an endless game.

A whispered thought in twilight's glow,
Every moment shared now feels so slow.
The world keeps turning, but here I stand,
Carrying grief in an open hand.

It’s like the past wrapped in a sigh,
Time’s cruel march, a constant goodbye.
You realize slowly, shadows entwine,
That love once bright now refuses to shine.

Ghosts of laughter haunt every room,
Filling the air with impending gloom.
In every corner, they still reside,
With every heartbeat, there's nowhere to hide.

The joy once felt now tangled in pain,
A tapestry woven with heartache's strain.
Though days may pass and seasons change,
The empty space will feel so strange.

We search for solace in moments gone,
Clutching at threads until they're withdrawn.
But deep in the sorrow, a lesson remains,
In love that lingers, the heart still gains.

Though they’re not here, their spirit’s near,
In every tear, in every cheer.
It's hard to accept, this weight we bear,
Yet in our hearts, they’ll always share.

So I'll hold their memory like a precious song,
A melody sweet that carries me along.
In times of darkness, in whispers of light,
Their love will guide me through the night.

Though losing someone may tear apart,
The bonds we formed still fill the heart.
For in every tear, every joy, every pain,

Love conquers loss, and hope will remain.
